New Message on Pituitary Chat such a relief Reply   Recommend Message 9 in Discussion From: Smile2day4 Hello,   Your posting sounds allot like me before I found out about my prolactinoma.  If you are well - that is wonderful!   Just to let you know, I had the same problems, my prolactin was higher then yours and I too had a CT scan and you know what... it did not show what the MRI with contrast showed.  I re-took the MRI twice!  I indeed had a prolactinoma - they would not have caught it with a CT scan or an MRI without contrast.  I needed "slices" of the pituary gland and also needed contrast.  I had a 10mm tumor, which reduced 50% last year.   I am due this week for my yearly check up, I re-did my MRI and now waiting and hoping this tumor has shrunk.  I also gained weight but started Jenny Craig as soon as I felt well enough.. I lost 7 pounds ( my wieght went from 145 to 170 in 2 years).  View other groups in this category.
