Well. I had my appointment with Dr Duick on Tuesday. I don't think, other then military docs, that I have ever spent as long in a doctors office. I was there for 3 1/2 hrs. His office does everything, he did the ultrasound on my thyroid himself. it was a different experience from the other docs I've seen...I didn't leave feeling like it was all in my head or "just menopause". I did leave with a bright orange jug for a 24 hour urine test. The hubby thinks it would be great for mixed drinks, lol. He does tests as standard practice that you have to fight with others to do. When I take my orange jug back they will do a glucouse tolerence test. And he'll do a FNA on my thyroid nodule. When he did the ultrasound, he showed me what he was looking at and explained why he was going to do the FNA. Wow what a concept, explain to the patient. I think I will have a good experience with this doctor. Minnie thanks for you good wishes. Anne |
