Hi Tara, Did you receive your results from the cardiologist & endo? Your
experiences sound somewhat familiar to mine, although I have not had surgery
yet. I also went into adrenal crisis post a laparoscopy for endo and was
constantly nauseated/vomiting. I also had a lot of heart problems (I had all
the neverending tests, too) and was ultimately diagnosed with P.O.T.S.,
Autonomic Nervous System Imbalance (inability to handle stress - "fight or
flight" hormones), borderline bradycardia, arrythmias, AV block, and most
recently, a heart murmur. I pass out frequently and suddenly with stress or
when my body just decides to. I also have the dizziness, low bp, low pulse, and
when I have an "episode," I become very weak, very fatigued, very low pulse
(30s usually), with fever & chills...and I pass out. My body simply cannot
handle stress. I have also been told that I have a rathke's cleft cyst, as
well as a tumor. I have Cushing's disease. I have been "watching and waiting"
since the tumor was discovered 5 years ago. I am hoping to have surgery soon.
I am sorry that you have gone through so many surgeries. I am glad that your
endo and cardio are being thorough with your work-up. As for your dizzy spells,
I think that your heart problems are probably causing the dizziness. It can
also be caused by hormonal imbalance. I do not know why the cyst recurs so
frequently. Have they tested the tumor for hormone secretion? It sounds like
your surgeons have never been successful in resecting all of the cyst. Any
remaining cyst/tumor can grow and apparently, grow rapidly, in your case. I am
sorry that you have undergone so many procedures without success. As for
Hopkins, I highly recommend the hospital, but I have never seen any endos
there. My Daddy had liver surgery there last year. He received very good care.
I consulted the neurosurgeon there, Dr. Brem, back in 2002 when I was first
diagnosed with the tumor, and he was not the right surgeon for my care. I may
be heading to Hopkins soon for a consult for parathyroid
disease/parathyroidectomy. I would recommend that you at least get a second
opinion from an endo @ Hopkins. Hopkins is actually fairly cheap with great
quality when it comes down to the cost of your medical care there. I hope you
receive your answers soon. You're in my prayers. Take care. Meri
