My surgery went well, but my recovery has been a little rough. I had a splitting headache everyday since I went home from the hospital. I finally woke up without a headache on Saturday, and Sunday. My Dr. wants me to go have a CT done to see if I have a sinus infection. Since I came back to Missouri, it gets a little more difficult to get things done with my surgeon being in the Chicago area. I am trying to work through my primary Dr., but she isn't easy to get ahold of. Anyway, I am feeling much better now, and I am so glad to have this behind me. I know there has been much talk about people needing a second surgery, and sometimes even a third. If I hadn't had both the tumor and the cyst, I don't believe I would have needed a second surgery. My Dr. saw no signs of regrowth from the tumor, and was able to get about 40% of the wall of the cyst out. He couldn't get the rest, as it was on the carotid artery. The fact that he got what he did of it assures me that it won't be back. I feel certain that I won't need surgery again, and look forward to a surgery free future! I believe it is so important to have a surgeon that specializes in pituitary surgery to avoid having multiple surgeries. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers!
