I have been taking cabergoline every day since last December and got my period in January for the first time in 2 years, but it hasn't come back since. The doc said my prolactin levels are 14 now, but I still don't know where my period is??? She said it might take a while for my body to get used to being "normal". I take .05 mg of cabergoline every night and I have had a few side effects. I have a lot of mood swings, really bad short term memory loss, headaches, and my face is full and has acne. I have been looking into surgery, but from what I read, there is a 50 % chance of regrowth of the tumor within 5 years??? Whats the point of surgery then? I don't understand. I started off with a 8 mm prolactinoma with my original prolactin levels of 69. What do I do? I feel like my doc shrugs off a lot of things and just wants me to take the pills.
