The Posterior does oxytocin and Antidieretic hormone. I think what occurred in this case was that the doctor just said the left side rather then saying the anterior or posterior. So who know's what the doc really means? The other issue could be that the doc took out the left side meaning that part of both the anteror and posterior. But who knows besides the doc? In that case it may have only been a little art of both which may compensate for itself too. I really do not like to second guess because one of us is not in a good place and if we start playing doctor and guessing which hormones could be affected by having the "left" side removed it may hurt her more because we really do not know!!! The only thing we can really do is support her and keep encouraging her. We are our own best advocates as many of us have found out the hard way and having doctors give ill defined answers really does not help us (as may of us have already found out too). Really, how much more difficult would it have been for the doctor to actually say there are two main parts of the pit gland the anterior and posterior. They have different functions and I removed the...? All we can do is sigh!!! However, on a better note, Congratulations on your dramatic improvement after your surgery!!!! That is so awesome to hear!!!! I love it! I really want surgery but ht doc keeps telling me it might make me worse, but I am willing to take that chance!!! LOL! It is my head after all and my Quality of Life!!!! I am very happy for you! HUGS, Tina If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk?
