----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Indygirl_panhypopit Message 16 in Discussion There's just sooooo much stuff we have to learn about isn't there?? An important thing to know about if you're taking cortisol are the symptoms of Cushings Disease. This is a disease that occurs when you have TOO MUCH cortisol. It can happen: 1) By taking too much cortisol 2) Pituitary tumor 3) Adrenal tumor Some of the symptoms include: - belly fat & mid body fat while arms and legs get thin - purple or red stretch marks - hump or a "fat pad" in between your shoulders - insomnia - thin skin - can see all your veins - emotions are going nuts You really need to monitor your cortisol levels like you would your thyroid so you don't start having this problem. It's horrible.....and I speak from experience...:( :) Gina ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/Pituitarychat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
