----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Indygirl_panhypopit Message 4 in Discussion Crystal, I'm not familiar with the medicine you are taking, but I'm wondering why your doctor didn't include checking your IGF-1 (insulin growth factor - 1) which is the most accurate measurement of your growth hormone level, or your ACTH & cortisol levels? A deficiency in growth hormone or cortisol could be why you're feeling so bad. Are you seeing a pituitary specialist? If not, you really need to. I know it's hard to find a good one. It seems so many endos are either focused on reproductive hormones, or thyroid, or diabetes, blah, blah, blah.......I think is just an indicator of how complicated the endocrine system is..... :) Gina ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
