----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: LoSNaz Message 5 in Discussion Brookie- it certainly can be attributed to tumors, but I'd like to reply that I had dizziness too, and thought it was all due to Acromegally causing tumor, but after the surgery, the dizziness and brain fog continued on, and I found myself not improving in the endurance department, and when I mentioned it to docs, they thought I should get a sleep test- sure enough- I had sleep apnea and never realized it for 14 years- I stop breathing an average of 43 times an hour- anyways- to make long story short, I went on a Bipap machine to sleep at night, and I am now, after a month on it, starting to see results as far as brain fog lifting some, and dizziness improving a bit. Sleep apnea is a surprisingly common problem and there may be a connection with pit tumors as well. If any of you folks find yourself waking up in mornings feeling really groggy, and find that you can't make it htrough the day without feeling like you could sleep for hours, then it might be worth checking out if you have sleep apnea- Especially if your tumor is a growth hormone related tumor, as this particular type does indeed cause sleep apnea ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
