----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: brookiecookie888 Message 1 in Discussion Hello, I have not written in here for a while but to give a recap I am 19 years old and found out about 3 months ago that I have a 5mm Pituitary Adenoma. I have been suffering from dizzy spells, headaches, nausea, fatigue, and within the last 2 months I have been having bad mood swings and depression. The dizziness is the worst of all symptoms, it will not go away, and it prevents me from being able to work. Well I was sent to see a local Neurosurgeon. Well basically he told me that he doesn't know if the adenoma is causing my symptoms. He gave me two referrals for another MRI scan and a pituitary blood workup and told me to come back in 2 months. I decided to not listen to him and just get the bloodwork over with since I hate doing it so much. When I got the results back they told me they were abnormal and that they were going to send me to UCSF (University of San Francisco). I was referred to Dr. Parsa. When I seen him, he told me that my cortisol level is high and abnormal but all the others were normal. Anyways, he is referring me to Dr. Kunwar and Dr. Gupta. I'm not sure why and I am not sure what is going to happen or what exactly is wrong with me or what condition I have. Anyways I would like some input on if those are good doctors or not or if any of you out there have the same problem. I feel really alone with this since I have never met anyone else who is experiencing this. Anyways, please send some input my way....It would be greatly appreciated :) ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
