----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: liltrubin Message 4 in Discussion I am currently not on any suppressing meds nor have I ever been. The only hormones that I am currently on is the Ortho Evra patch. I have not received my pathology report back to know for sure what type of tumor I had. For years it was classified a non-functioning and then a month before surgery I started secrete prolactin and over the 6 months my cortisol levels went up. They were always in the "normal high" range. I know my tumor is gone which is why I do not understand why the cortisol level is still up. If not, you should redue that test withholding the cortef that way so you get a true indication of your cortisol level. 36 is really high and it should not be that high after surgery, or else they didn't get all of your tumor if it was ACTH secreting. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
