I am currently not on any suppressing meds nor have I ever been. The only
hormones that I am currently on is the Ortho Evra patch. I have not received my
pathology report back to know for sure what type of tumor I had. For years it
was classified a non-functioning and then a month before surgery I started
secrete prolactin and over the 6 months my cortisol levels went up. They were
always in the "normal high" range. I know my tumor is gone which is why I do
not understand why the cortisol level is still up.

HUGS,

Tina

Tina, When you had your blood drawn for these last tests, did you take your
cortef at 8:00 am the day before, then not take another dose till after your
8:00 am draw the following day? If not, you should redue that test
withholding
the cortef that way so you get a true indication of your cortisol level. 36 is
really high and it should not be that high after surgery, or else they didn't
get all of your tumor if it was ACTH secreting.
