<WBR>Hi PT3688041!

I wish I read your post earlier-:) Still catching up after surgery. I had the
same thing occur. I was told the stabbing pain was actually from the kidney
trying to swell but of course it cannot because it is encased in that hard
shell. I am sure you are over all of this by now and I am so sorry I was not
there for you!!!! I had to pee a lot too after surgery just from the irritation.

HUGS,

Tina

Hi! I am still dealing with the aftermath of the lithotrypsy. I still have
stents in place. I have an appointment with the urologist on Monday and I am
hoping they will take out those suckers. Of course, I do not want to think
about
the process invilved in getting them out. I am still crampy with occasional
stabbing pain which I am sure is related to the stents. I can't believe that
they made this sound so easy. Luckily, I teach or I would not have been able to
work. Even so, I cut my classes short on Tuesday and Wednesday - the students
did not seem to mind. The other problem that has developed is that my DI
seems
to be out of control. I am already on a high dose of DDAVP but I have to stay
close to the bathroom. I even had to excuse myself 2 x during my visit with my
local endo on Wednesday. This may be related to the lithotrypsy so I am hanging
in there until the stents are removed. If it continues I will contact my endos
-
I wonder if this is related to the cyberknife? The pancreas thing is the
scary
part of MENS 1. I am still having problems with hypoglycemia. Endo talked about
admitting me to the hospital for 3 days with no food and following my blood
glucose and insulin levels. If there is a pancreatic tumor there is an increase
in the insulin when the blood glucose drops. The pancreas pumps out too much
insulin causing hypoglycemia. This usually sends the blood glucose into the
50's
or less. The lowest I have recorded is 61 - which I hit regularly unless I eat
every 2 hours. The endos are not impressed with anything out of the 50s. Good
luck. I'll keep you posted on my latest adventure (If I cans stay out of the
bathroom long enough).
