Not to stick my butt in but I do think David's case is rather rare. Thank
God!!!! I cannot even imagine going into a coma before they discovered the
tumor. I am currently working on my dissertation for my Ph.D. and that is my
topic. I am looking at the time fame that it take to receive a correct
diagnosis
and how that affects Quality of Life. Obviously, David's QofL was to the
extreme
and thank God he is still with us!!!!! I became completely disabled myself with
the vision loss, balance and migraines. I had my tumor out 12 weeks ago and my
vision has almost completely returned, I can see 20/20 with my glasses on, my
balance is tremendously better, I can drive again but I still do have some
rough
days. I am not complaining at all!!!! I just wanted you to know that the vision
does return even in the not so extreme cases!!!!! It is almost as if it takes
cases like David's to educate the doctors as to what to look for. It really is
not all that complicated if you just run some tests to rule out the tumor and
if
it is not there, it is not there, if it is then treat it!!!! Most of us
complain
of some symptoms that should warrant an endocrine blood panel yet many of us do
not receive that from our first few docs and a few years later. We could have
lost David!!!!!

Hang in there. You know what you are dealing with and yes, positive
outcomes do occur!!!

LOVE & HUGS,

Tina

Hi Cinny Yes thankfully I
recovered my eyesight but not totally I lost the peripheral vision in my
right
eye.My tumour had swelled and burst damaging my optic nerves.Pror to the
discovery of the tumour my eyesight had been affected but it was a non
responsive area in my left eye which was discovered on a routine eye test
After my surgery my left eye regained perfect vision. You mention loss of
balance I too lose my balance and still have problems in this area 7 years
after I think mine was aqn extreme case as my tumour had gone undiagnosed and
only came to light when I lost my eyesight Ironically I was due at the
hospital for further tests after the Christmas holiday but events
intervened I hope this sets your mind at rest and if I can be of any
assistance do not hesitate to email me David Newton Manchester
