----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Marcia Message 7 in Discussion Wow! That is amazing that it went undetected for so long! Mine was about 3.1 cm. It also invaded the cavernous sinus, and was pressing on the optic nerve. How is he doing now? Where did he have the surgery? It is good that he has been to both the Cleveland Clinic, and U of M! His tumor had gotten so large that it had invaded the cavernous sinus (spelling not sure of), pushed the left optic nerve completly to the other side of the brain, and actually had distroyed the bone behind the nose and began coming down through there. At one point the neurosergeon had guessed about 2 1/2 inches. He has been seen at both the cleveland clinic and U of M and they have both sayed it was one of the biggest tumors they had ever seen. The strangest thing about it all is that it went undetected for so long. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
