Hi Huggi111, About a year ago I saw on Craigslist where someone was trying to
get Bromocriptine, under the belief that it could help him get stronger. In the
early '90s NBC did a report on how young women were prescribed Bromocriptine to
dry up lactation when they finished nursing. Some of these young mothers had
severe reactions from strokes to death. Sandoz the manufacture would not
remove from the PDR that it was for the use of stopping lactation in new
mothers. This was even after some hefty lawsuits from victims and their
families. The day after the NBC story aired, Sandoz removed that useage from
the PDR. I myself was diagnosed with a Prolactinoma in '83 and took
Bromocriptine/Parlodel as it was the only drug available. I took
Bromocriptine, and not even orally, and it was my biggest regret. It made me
feel so horrible, eventually I stopped it and am better for it.
