As stated in a previous post, my Endo has left her practice to do research. I
was not in the least bit thrilled to hear she was leaving. We had developed a
great relationship, and I trusted her implicitly. She was always up front, and
never talked down to me concerning other health issues that I have in addition
to my Pituitary issues. I met my new Endo on Tuesday. I was assigned this
Dr. by the practice and it was pretty much luck of the draw. My Endo at the
time was the only one in the county. Since she left, they replaced her with 2.
I think part of the reason she left was because of the working conditions.
Anyway, this new Dr. is in his 70's at least, mumbles alot and uses big medical
terms (which thankfully I understand) and has a comment for everything.
And....to top it off, he was an hour late for our appointment. He wants to see
me in a year providing that my 2 year post op MRI comes back clean. Everything
is pretty stable at this point so I am not worried about only seeing him once a
year, and besides, I am hoping by the time I am scheduled to go back, he isn't
there anymore. It is so hard these days to find Dr.'s who you feel
comfortable with, who you trust, and who you feel has your best interest at
heart. I know many of you feel the same about your doctors and so next time you
see them, if you feel this way about them, just take a minute to thank them and
let them know they are appreciated.
