There are some clinical cases where the IGF-1 was normal in all tests (levels 
adjusted for age); however, since the data is pretty slim, the recommendation 
would be to really consider traveling and see an acromegaly specialist. Dr. Pam 
Freda, Department of Medicine, Columbia University College of Physicians & 
Surgeons, 630 West 168th Street, New York, NY 10032, USA. [EMAIL PROTECTED], 
has seen and written about difficult diagnostic cases.   I do know that your 
husband will need an oral glucose tolerance test, and, if clinical suspecion is 
strong, a gh circadian blood sampling (done over 24 hours). Good luck!   Here
