I had a similar problem when my new endo. put me on the Androderm patch. I had 
previously been getting monthly injections. Blue Cross & Blue Shield first 
denied the claim for the patch. I called the endo.'s office and had them call 
Blue Cross directly. That settled the issue.

It seems that we have to jump through extra hoops to prove we aren't taking 
this as an "enhancement" drug.
