----------------------------------------------------------- From: darlinge Message 1 in Discussion I have wrote in several times explaining what a large and difficult tumor my husband had and how it has changed our family's life. I then again have wrote about discovering that my son (4 years) has elevated prolactin levels and how the doctors have been whatching for any signs of a possible tumor. Well once again I am worried. My 7 year old recently under went testing to see if his prolactin levels were elevated. He has been experiancing terrible headaces and the results came back high. The endro. is unsure since there is not alot of info out there about children with high prolactin levels they are now concidering putting both of my children on dostinex. Although my husband had no side effects from the dostinex (even when taking 10x a week) I am worried about the children. I have read several stories on here about people with terrible side effects, and then there is the heart valve problems. I cannot say for sure whether or not the doctors will recommend the children to start dostinex, but I am very concerned if so what will be the long term effects. I know that I have to do what is in the best interest of my children but I would like to have as much info on the subject as possible. If ANYONE has any info on this please let me know.
