----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: ANNE Message 1 in Discussion My name is Anne, I am 37 years old and just recently found this board. I have not been diagnosed with Acromegaly but came across it when looking around on the internet about clubbing of the fingers. I have one finger that is clubbed and has been for a long time, probably since I was a child but not since birth. When I read that it could be due to underlying disease it worried me. I read about Acromegaly since this finger hasnt always been this way but it isnt just recently. The other things I have noticed over the past few years are, increased foot size ( I blamed pregnancy) sking tags and over the past few years my teeth are "moving" I did have braces as a child but they arent going back to the way they are. One side of my mouth, the teeth are moving down and the other are stying where they are. The dentist couldnt figure out why. I'm not sure its to do with Acromegaly or not I also have a lot of skin tags (again I blame pregnancy) I also have carpal tunnel, depression, memory problems, etc. I also have very heavy painful periods. I was curious if any of you think it ssomething worth talking to the doctor about. Could this all be a series of coincidences? What made you go to the doctors or at what point did they think it be this? Thanks in advance for any help. Sorry if I dont belong here since I really dont have a diagnosis. I just have no one else to ask.
