Wanted to share my story and maybe get some advice. I found out i have a
tumor

in Aug. 2006. How it was discovered was i was not having periods for months at
a

time and when it did come on, it would stay on a month or more. My obgyn
doctor

sent me to a endo doc. and she put me on bromo. 2.5m. I had minor side effects

however over the almost two yrs. she has increased the dosage. Everytime she
has

increased the medicine the side effects have gotten worst. Even though the side

effects have gotten worst my prolactinoma is being controlled by meds. Well

something like that, my prolatin level goes up and down, but my other hormones

levels are fine. Recently my doc increased my dosage to 30m my body could not

handle that so she dropped it back down to 15m, however the meds are still

making me sick so my doctor is switching me to dostinex.

I just had a mri done last week and the tumor hasn't grown or gotten smaller.

I'm looking thru that half empty half full glass. Im just amazed that i have

been on this medicine for almost 2 yrs, and it hasn't got any smaller. Its 7mm.

Is dat consider big, small, or normal idk. My doc. Is considering surgery

because my vision has slightly gotten worst. But idk bout that. Im just

frustrated. I would appreciate responses from ppl who has had the surgery.

Im happy i find this site cause my family try to be supportive but they know

even less then i do. Its good to talk 2 ppl who are dealing with the same issue

i am. ...............Thanks
