Hi Ladies, I'm so WORRIED about my situation and hoping you can help.... I'm

new to the boards but I was diagnosed with a small Prolactinoma 5 years ago. I

was put on Dostinex .5mg 3 x week, everything went smoothly and I got my period

within the first month. My prolactin levels dropped and I got my period

regularly for 4 years.... THEN this past year I stopped taking Dostinex due
to

a lapse in medical insurance ( STUPID MISTAKE!) Finally, I was insured again in

December and found a new Endocrinologst. I told him I haven't gotten my period

in almost a YEAR!! I expressed that my husband and I wanted to start a family

soon as well. My Dr. put me on 1/2 a 2.5 Bromcriptin daily. I had my blood

taken in February and my levels went down slightly so my Dr. increased the

dosaage to the full 2.5 mg tablet. I have been taking it religiously and I am

still lactating and still NO PERIOD! Is it safe for me to have gone so long

with no period? Can't my Dr. give me something to bring my period on faster?
I'm

becoming so nervous that I am going to be infertile. Just thinking about this

makes me very emotional. My Dr. doesn't have the best bedside manner and his

answers are never "clear." I hope some of you can shed some light on this and

hopefully put me at ease! Thanks so much, Jamie
