----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: laineyful Message 3 in Discussion I would think that its not necessarily the size of the tumor but what part of the pituitary its affecting, though my own experience is from a pituitary problem that is not tumor related. What about your other labs? IGF1, TSH, cortisol, etc? Your symptoms point to a lot of hormones being low. Sometimes you need to look at the symptoms more than the test results. For example, even though I barely have a pituitary at all anymore, my cortisol tests have always been normal. Yet I almost died from a simple outpatient procedure because my cortisol bottomed out. So now I am on Prednisone and Cortef without bloodtests to say I need it. Your hormones can vary throughout the day.
