Hi, basenji, GO IMMEDIATELY to our thread "Support Group says Pituitary Chat
board is too depressing" and check out all the replies I received. Read the
ones by Ph.D. student liltrubin especially, with her research that it is not
'depression' we face, by Apathy Syndrome. Tina writes: "Apathy syndrome is
much more common with Pit patients then depression but often misdiagnosed at
depression. Treatment for Depression will not work for people with Apathy
syndrome." Wow! Here's my comment on that report she refers to: "I just
found a 2002 Journal of Neuropsychiatry report, Apathy and Pituitary Disease:
It Has Nothing to Do With Depression. Wow, this study is pure GOLD. It explains
my bad housekeeping, poor bill-paying habits, and my "toxic waste dump" of a
refrigerator. I've never been so excited about APATHY in my life (think about
that!)." Many people comment on these boards that, for them, antidepressants
don't work. This study gives us a clear reason why! Willard in Alabama
