Christina - I am sorry that we did not respond to your post. I know how
terrifying having a child with pituitary issues can be. My son was diagnosed
with acromegaly at 17, but tracing back his history the doctor's believe that
his tumor became active when he was 13. What happened with your daughter's
testing? Has she had bloodwork to confirm acromegaly. What are here growth
hormone and IGF-1 levels? It is imperative that you find an endocrinologist
that has extensive knowlege of pit. tumors, and that they work hard to get her
growth hormone levels under control. The issue is not just with her size,
but also with her overall health and mental wellbeing. We will not ignore your
post again, so please let us know how your baby is doing. I am also a
Christina, and my son Jason is 6'7" tall. The doctors were able to stop his
excessive growth so that he did not end up 7' tall. We count that as a
blessing everyday. Hope all is well - Chris - Ogy's Mom
