We can certainly sympathize, with his vision changes and the effects on the body. You didn't indicate exactly where the tumor was/is, but presumably it is inside the skull like ours? I'm not sure we can really be of much help to you, though I hope someone can. Checking on "chondroma," I cannot find much similarity to the pituitary gland soft tumors we suffer. Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chondroma and other sources seem to explain it as being in the cartilage or even in bone. Wow, 6 cm? That's BIG, almost hen's-egg size, 2.36 inches! If it is growing inside his skull, it could indeed be near the base of the brain, mimicking our symptoms. Many of us are in agony with a tumor that could be 6 mm, a tenth of that diameter. Often soft tumors may be described as inoperable. Yet many of our Pituitary Tumors respond well to oral medication. I don't know about our other members, but I doubt that we can give you a definitive answer. It's also unlikely that we know enough about the state of medical science in Brazil to comment.
