I was giving the release an overall thumbs-up, but identifying a couple minor 
issues that I think should be resolved before we put the release to the broader 
Incubator PMC. I don't see any reason to delay the internal voting process by 
regenerating the release artifacts just to address these points. 

So, if these issues will be resolved before the vote is put to the Incubator 
PMC, then my vote is +1. Otherwise, it is -1.

I wouldn't. As I said, they are not required to build or run the source and 
therefore don't belong in a source artifact, IMO. 

I don't really want to remove them from SVN, since they should be part of the 
overall project history. I don't see why it is a big deal to remove them from 
the 1.2 tag - we did the same thing for the Eclipse project files.
