Gang: I'd like to propose that we time our 1.4 release to coincide with our graduation and our new site launch -- and I wanted to see what the group thought. I figure we could finish the stuff that needs finishing for 1.4, create the release candidate tag, package it, test it, audit it, vote on it, and let it sit in the wings until after we've moved to pivot.apache.org. Then we would deploy it and the new site on the new domain all on the same day. In the meantime, work could continue on the trunk without affecting 1.4.
Thoughts? -T p.s. The new site is coming together slowly and can be seen temporarily at http://incubator.apache.org/pivot/preview/. The tutorials aren't there yet, and all the links assume that (a) the release is 1.4, and (b) we've graduated.
