Thank you very much Sir Greg!  Problem solved.

I created a lib directory within the folder where my JSP files reside
and copied all the JAR files into it. Its working now.

Thanks again.

Hello, and welcome!  :-)
First suggestion is to make sure that all of the Pivot JARs are available on
the applet's classpath. We generally put them in a lib directory relative to
the HTML page that contains the applet.
Second, make sure that your HTML contains something that looks like this:
<script src="http://java.com/js/deployJava.js";></script><script>var attributes
= {code:"org.apache.pivot.wtk.BrowserApplicationContext$HostApplet",
archive:"lib/pivot-core-1.3.jar"        + ",lib/pivot-wtk-1.3.jar"        +
",lib/pivot-wtk-1.3.terra.jar"        + ",lib/<your application JAR>.jar",
width:800,    height:600};var parameters = {application_class_name:"<your
application class name>",    codebase_lookup:false,
java_arguments:"-Dsun.awt.noerasebackground=true
-Dsun.awt.erasebackgroundonresize=true"};deployJava.runApplet(attributes,
parameters, "1.6");</script>
If you have done both of those things and still can't get the applet to launch,
let us know and we'll try to dig a little deeper.

Greetings from Philippines!

I am a java newbie and very much interested in using Pivot.

I have created a sample netbeans web project based on Menus.java Pivot
tutorial.
I created a new package called MyApplet which contains -
Menus.java,document.wtkx,menus.wktx. I added the Jar files. Within the netbeans
environment, I can run the program by right clicking on Menus.java then clicked
Run.

However, I can't make it run in the browser.  The java console displays this
error:

class org.apache.pivot.wtk.BrowserApplicationContext$HostApplet not found

Do I need to create a package "org.apache.pivot.wtk" and put
BrowserApplicationContext$HostApplet.class  within it?

Thanks for any help.
