Clemens Eisserer says in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22938 that profile guided optimization makes trap rasterization 10-25% faster, so adding a configure option to use it may make sense. I'm not sure about shipping tons and tons of profile data with pixman though.
