Hi Sebastian, I understand your concern. Since pion has been out of testing for some time, it does not seem urgent to act either way. The purpose of switching to libssl1.0-dev was so that the package would build (and thus I could orphan it). However, I did not close #900154 with that upload precisely because much additional work is required to make it suitable for release. For some reason I thought that there was a new upstream release floating around out there, but it appears I am mistaken. The rationale for orphaning it is that the sponsor of the package is migrating to a different library and is no longer interested in funding maintenance of the Debian package. As there are no reverse dependencies, removing the package entirely is not likely to have much impact. If you are seeking my blessing to file a removal bug, then you have it. You are welcome to go ahead with it at your convenience. Regards, -Roberto -- Roberto C.
