OK, now it has downloaded the two files AND created the "mirror.dat" but it took over 2 hours to get it. Now If I re-run the command I get: samba3:/tmp# freshclam -v --datadir=/tmp/clamav Current working dir is /tmp/clamav Max retries == 5 ClamAV update process started at Tue Dec 2 10:14:23 2008 Using IPv6 aware code Querying current.cvd.clamav.net TTL: 900 Software version from DNS: 0.94.2 WARNING: Your ClamAV installation is OUTDATED! It seems they where downloaded but they are not there! Since I need the files on several (7) machines I realy dislike the idea, to download the CDIFF for each machine separately... My idea is, to run a local mirror where <samba3> works as a proxy like I do it with apt-mirror and install from there. Since ALL machines run the same Release/Versions there should be no problem...
