Hi fellow developers, clamav is affected by this problem with the following files:
0m26.4s ERROR: FAIL: Package purging left files on system: /etc/clamav owned by: clamav-base /etc/clamav/clamd.conf not owned /var/lib/clamav owned by: clamav-base /var/lib/clamav/daily.cvd not owned /var/lib/clamav/main.cvd not owned Maybe I'll find the time to investigate this more detail, just don't know for sure and wanted to share what I had digged up anyway. Best, Michael ----- Forwarded message from Holger Levsen <[email protected]> ----- Date: Mon, 19 Oct 2009 20:14:12 +0200 From: Holger Levsen <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: piuparts-MBF: owned and unowned files after purge Hi, I'd like to file bugs with the severity "important" against all packages leaving owned and unowned files after purge. Reasoning: "a piuparts clean archive" is a release-goal for squeeze (and was for lenny) and this is prohibited per debian-policy. As the impact of the bugs ain't that high (except that we break our quality promise with it and blatantly violate policy), I think "important" is the right severity. http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/owned_files_after_purge_error.html shows which packages need to remove owned files after purge, see http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-files.html#s10.7.3 http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/unowned_files_after_purge_error.html shows packages with unowned files after purge (violating policy 6.8) see http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-maintainerscripts.html#s-removedetails I am currently _not_ proposing filing bugs against packages with owned files after purge, which belong to more than one package (those which you can see at http://piuparts.debian.org/sid/owned_files_by_many_packages_error.html) because #454694 needs to be fixed in dpkg first. 204 packages are affected by this, a ddlist of the affected packages is below. regards, Holger [...] ----- End forwarded message -----
