Andreas suggested to split clamdscan out of the clamav package so it
could be installed without freshclam. It was dropped first due to the
large NEW queue. What about it for next exp release (i.e. before the
final release)?
Yes, we could do that. In case it is still in the NEW queue, when the
final release happens, we can always upload that without the split to
unstable, canceling the experimental upload.
Yes. Now is a good time for this.
This is now pushed to git, together with some other improvements.
Thus I think it would be good to make another upload to experimental.
However, I noticed that clamav doesn't build anymore in wheezy:
dh_systemd, libjson-c-dev and libmspack-dev don't exist there.
I modified debian/rules to not build with systemd on wheezy, so the
dependency on dh_systemd could simply be dropped.
For libjson-c-dev I added the alternative dependency libjson0-dev, which
is available in wheezy.
The remaining problem is libmspack-dev, because with the libmspack patch
clamav doesn't build anymore without it.
Sebastian, could you please have a look at how to auto-detect whether
libmspack is available, and if it is not, use an embedded copy?
I also noticed that the pristine-tar and upstream-unstable branches of
the libclamunrar git are out of date. Please push an updated version to
alioth.
Best regards,
Andreas
