This was a bug in 0.98.6+dfsg-2 that is already fixed in 0.98.6+dfsg-3. During
package upgrade the prerm script from the old version of the package is run.
If you inspect /var/lib/dpkg/info/clamav-freshclam.prerm line 239 on your
system now you'll find the [] brackets around the pathfind call are no longer
there (I did just double check all this).
