Hi collegues, As you know, Crosswire supports the GoBible and GoBibleCreator software.
Bibledit-Gtk uses the GoBibleCreator from Crosswire so that it is able to build Bibles that can be viewed on cell phones that run mobile Java. I have created a tarball of the GoBibleCreator software, and uploaded it to http://code.google.com/p/gobible/. It can be seen here: http://code.google.com/p/gobible/downloads/list It is the only .tar.gz file in the listing. Next a Debian package was created from that tarball. Many hours went into that, because I wanted to follow Debian policy, and get the package Lintian clean. Well, it now follows the policy, and is cleaner than Lintian clean. Even the watch file works. You would make me so grateful if you would review the package, and then upload it. I've added myself to the Uploaders field in debian/control. The purpose of this is that I may maintain this in future, once my GnuPG key is in the Debian keyring. The Maintainer field is set as Debian Crosswire Packaging Team. See here: Maintainer: Debian Crosswire Packaging Team <[email protected]> Uploaders: Jonathan Marsden <[email protected]>, Daniel Glassey <[email protected]>, Dmitrijs Ledkovs <[email protected]>, Teus Benschop <[email protected]> If the maintainer field, or the uploaders field are not appropriate, you will feel free to update this. Here is a script that downloads the package to your system, and does some basic checks: cd mkdir check_package_teus cd check_package_teus bzr checkout lp:~pkgcrosswire/gobiblecreator/debian/ cd debian cd gobiblecreator-2.4.1 debuild debuild -S Guidelines for reviewers are here: http://wiki.debian.org/SponsorChecklist The package is already in mentors.debian.net, see here: http://mentors.debian.net/package/gobiblecreator It builds cleanly in a pbuilder environment. This is just an extra quality check. In His service, Teus.
