Is your /var/run symlink to /run?

ondrej@lettie:~/Projects/pkg-cyrus-imapd/cyrus-imapd-2.4 (master)$ ls
-ld /run/
drwxr-xr-x 25 root root 960 Oct 22 04:11 /run/
ondrej@lettie:~/Projects/pkg-cyrus-imapd/cyrus-imapd-2.4 (master)$ ls
-ld /var/run
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Apr 19  2013 /var/run -> /run

If not, your system is broken.

Ondrej
