Hi folks,
in #638706 I suspected qa.debian.org from not supporting \1 style
backrefs in watch files, while uscan did support them. Giovanni helped
me see that uscan doesn't actually support them at all, I just hadn't
done the right kind of testing.
I now understand that \1 style backrefs are not supported and since perl
recommends not using them, support for them shouldn't be implemented
either (IMHO).
However, to prevent further confusion, please find below a patch to the
uscan manpage documenting this lack of support.
