Yes.  A good example is interacting with a separate Release Engineering
group.  Are you suggesting that I should create a depot for every build?
I suppose the depot directory could live inside the build directory itself.

Is there a clear understanding at this point of exactly how platform-portable
and version-portable the depot directory is?  Can I record a depot on x86
and serve it back from sparc?
