Parts of this wad went through some review last week, but it has grown.
In the end I wound up with rather a lot of fixes in one wad.
Notable changes:
- You can install an IPS branded zone-- it'll spit some warnings
at you for some driver actions (this is bug 1191), but once
you get it installed, most things seem to work right.
One thing that isn't right is the interaction between zones
and ZFS-- zfs auto-creation isn't happening, I think a side
effect of the use of a legacy mount in the zfs layout on
indiana. I haven't yet tested a zone which is manually
laid out with a delegate dataset. And zones don't have
a filesystem layout which matches the indiana one. It will
have to do for now.
- New messages: 'install -n' will now print something if it's
got nothing to do:
pkg: Nothing to install in this image (is this package already
installed?)
Ditto for image-update.
- BE integration is still not where it needs to be but it's at
least less broken.
- list -a is faster. Not fast, but a bit better than before.
I tested the gui (it's in the repo, and updated itself when I did
image-update (!)), it seems to pass a smoke test. Test suite also
passes.

I'd like to try to get this in mid-day tomorrow. It's already
overdue for RC1.
