Sorry Tom, I'm a bonafide idiot :-) I just realised what you meant by it not being used. That's a leftover from when I moved the functionality in depot.py to repository.py. I also noticed that the "sys" and "StringIO" imports were unused and removed them. Thanks for your sharp eye on this.
