  It's not duff.  (Neither is it Duff.)  You'll want to define a group
  package or two, perhaps "gnome-minimal" and "gnome-standard", that
  each state some meaningful set of packages.  Maybe "gnome-heavy", too.
  Then you ask for one of them to be added to the slim_cd package, so
  that the live CD includes that group and all of its dependencies.

  We could also get fancier, and use action attributes to separate the
  live CD case (a subset) from the installation case (more).  We'd need
  to discuss use of filters with the Caiman gang.
