Danek, thanks for your prompt reply! I understand this can not be helped and there is no plan to address the issue at this point. Only the solution is beforehand ZFS snapshot & rollback.
BTW, while I don't know the actual case of this user, the 2nd pkg-install trial will simply overwrite the wreckage files, thus, it usually would not cause a problem, right?
