I'm working on porting my SVR4 package to IPS form.
My application's SVR4 package has installation scripts (pre/post remove
scripts) which takes back up of the config files that the user would have
customized and these files are re-instated by the pre/post install scripts..
This is done to ensure that the old configuration changes are retained upon
upgrading the application package.
The question is, how do I implement this in my IPS version of the package? I
understand that I can't do with the SVR4 installation scripts anymore in
IPS. Is there a way to retain some files even after uninstalling the IPS
package?
