If we relax the "no scripting" constraint, it's gone forever. It will not be relaxed at this point in the project; we have a number of not yet implemented approaches to make more configuration cases non-scriptable. As the project nears its ARC commitment phase, we can revisit, but that's some time off. (At least a couple of interim reviews.)
