As I was just saying (offline) to Brad, I've had /usr/gnu/bin near the 
front of my
search PATH for ages. Things worked just fine.  It looks like this is 
the first
instance of "install ..."  that's used the -f option.

No biggie, but it would be nice if we were consistent (or said another way,
that we could use "install ..." irrespective of whether it picks it up 
out of
/usr/gnu/bin or /usr/sbin or /opt/onbld/bin or ...).
