Hi All, I came across one more link --> http://blogs.sun.com/sunwg11nprg/entry/how_to_create_opensolaris_distribution1 Which tells you about how to create a local IPS repository and I think its great as by setting it up . 1) You can faster the process of creating a distribution as pkg (client) does not have to go to origin server for metadata and remote search then.Which happens in a mirror. 2) You can also choose the packages you want and compile those only and put them into IPS repo. Do not have to keep all unneccessary packages. 3) You have the control over the code also.
But the link says to setup OpenSolaris distribution from your local repository you need access to SWAN Is this method possible without access to SWAN ?? Thanks, Omkar Lagu
