It supports turning on/off:
- Show Startup Page on Startup and
- Enable type ahead searching (if its deselected user must hit return
for search to be executed).
We are looking into the performance issues against large repos such
as pending. The GtkTreeView refiltering algorithm is not scaling
(#6354) and we need to see if we can address this for large datasets.
In the meantime users can toggle the search behavior using the above
preferences dialog, if they are experiencing problems.
