It turns out that clicking on the Reload button results in a similar
hang which is still present. I dunno if it's the RightThingToDo(tm), but
making similar changes within __catalog_refresh_done solved it for me. I
haven't found any other hangs so far.
Speaking of which... We (Orca team) maintain an ever-growing set of
automated regression tests. I will set aside some time to create a set
for packagemanager and get in the habit of running them with the
respective nightly builds so that breakage from either side can be
caught. Once they're reliable, I'll put notes on our wiki in case you or
anyone else wishes to run them as well.
