Under search, this is a little ambiguous: > Enter the complete name, description, or a partial name to search for the > package
Could someone suggest a slightly more specific description of how the search box is translated into a pkg search? Does the typed search term have to be a complete word in pkg text? Perhaps a substring is used for the package name, but a complete word match is required to match the description? (I'm trying to dig up some fuzzy memories of previous threads) I assume that both the package name and the description are searched, but not the contents (like file paths) inside the packages? Will this still be true for 2009.06? --chris Jyothi Srinath wrote: > Hello IPS and OpenSolaris folks, > > The Package Manager Online Help for 2009.06 is ready for review.
